In the United States April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM).

The goal of SAAM is to raise public awareness about sexual violence and to educate communities on how to prevent it.

Sexual violence is a major public health, human rights and social justice issue. We need everyone’s help to end it. Thank you for getting involved and for supporting SAAM efforts.
Since 2001 the National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) supports SAAM organizers with resources, tools and training.

The National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC) believes in the power of information, tools and people.  They are leaders in providing the latest news and resources on sexual violence.

Become A Volunteer

Volunteers are vital to BAWC and we would not be in existence without the work of volunteers who started our agency in 1975. We will thrive only as long as we have volunteers to complete our caring-compassionate staff.
