Planned Giving
If you want to leave a legacy and support survivors past your lifetime, you may want to consider a planned gift. There are many options to fulfill your philanthropic and financial goals, each with its own benefits. Some of the most popular giving vehicles to donate cash, securities, or property include:
-
Bequest - Through your will or trust, you can designate a set amount or portion of your estate to BAWC.
-
Beneficiary Designation - Name BAWC a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy.
-
Charitable Gift Annuity - Transfer assets, such as cash, properties, or securities, to BAWC and receive regular fixed income payments for life or a set period of time.
-
Charitable Remainder Trust - Establish a trust that pays secure annual income to you or other beneficiaries for a set period of time (sometimes for life). At the termination of the trust, the remainder of the funds transfer to BAWC.
-
Charitable Lead Trust - Opposite to a Charitable Remainder Trust, this trust is established to first pay a fixed amount to BAWC for a set amount of years. At the end of this period, the assets are passed on to your selected beneficiaries.
